Board&nbsp;members&nbsp;get&nbsp;familiar&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;university\u2019s&nbsp;administration,&nbsp;current&nbsp;issues&nbsp;in&nbsp;student&nbsp;organizations,&nbsp;accessibility,&nbsp;the&nbsp;position of&nbsp;international&nbsp;students, as&nbsp;well&nbsp;as&nbsp;tutoring&nbsp;and&nbsp;event&nbsp;coordination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0Chair of\u00a0the\u00a0Board\u00a0is\u00a0elected\u00a0separately, and\u00a0the\u00a0rest\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Board\u00a0will\u00a0assign\u00a0portfolios\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0beginning\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0term.\u00a0The\u00a0position is\u00a0not\u00a0full-time,\u00a0but\u00a0it\u00a0requires\u00a0commitment\u00a0and\u00a0time\u00a0management\u00a0skills.\u00a0Balancing\u00a0studies,\u00a0work, and Board\u00a0duties\u00a0is\u00a0important\u00a0\u2014 and\u00a0the\u00a0Board\u00a0continuously\u00a0develops\u00a0ways\u00a0to\u00a0support\u00a0wellbeing\u00a0and\u00a0prioritization.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According&nbsp;to&nbsp;LYY\u2019s&nbsp;medium-term&nbsp;financial&nbsp;plan&nbsp;approved&nbsp;by&nbsp;the&nbsp;Representative&nbsp;Council,&nbsp;the&nbsp;compensation&nbsp;levels&nbsp;in 2026&nbsp;will&nbsp;remain&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;as in 2025:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chair of&nbsp;the&nbsp;Board:&nbsp;\u20ac9,600 (paid&nbsp;in 12&nbsp;installments)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vice&nbsp;Chair:&nbsp;\u20ac5,500 (paid&nbsp;in 10&nbsp;installments)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Board&nbsp;Member:&nbsp;\u20ac4,000 (paid&nbsp;in 10&nbsp;installments)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During&nbsp;the&nbsp;summer,&nbsp;activities&nbsp;slow&nbsp;down&nbsp;as&nbsp;staff&nbsp;take&nbsp;their&nbsp;holidays,&nbsp;but&nbsp;Board&nbsp;responsibility&nbsp;covers&nbsp;the&nbsp;entire&nbsp;year&nbsp;and&nbsp;may&nbsp;include&nbsp;summer&nbsp;meetings&nbsp;or&nbsp;discussions.
